How You Can Help

What is your volunteer superpower?

And would you come put it to use for your community animal shelter?

We all have a superpower and exercising it for a great cause, on behalf of the lifesaving work of LCHS, is a great way to give and get involved in our community.

Are you a pro at running a cash register?

Enjoy working with the public in an upbeat and dynamic store setting? We are always looking for thrift store volunteers.

Do you have experience training dogs, whether just your own or broader experience?

Want to gain more experience? A hiker? Tired of hiking alone? Consider taking a shelter dog on an outing.

Are you a cat whisperer?

Photographer?

Graphic designer?

Writer?

Volunteering for any of the myriad of needs we have in running an animal shelter 365 days a year and Rags & Wags, the thrift store owned and operated by Lemhi County Humane Society, is a great way to contribute to the shelter and is absolutely crucial to our success.

There are so many ways to help out Salmon Animal Shelter. All rewarding and all done in the company of great people for a great cause – sheltering and rehoming stray and abandoned pets in our community.
